The short version (plain language)

By using moon made me, you agree to these terms. In plain English:

You must be 13 or older.
Our daily whispers are for daily reflection only - not professional advice — they are not medical, financial, legal, or mental-health advice.
Product cards link to Amazon. If you buy through those links, we earn a small commission. This costs you nothing extra.
We do not show third-party ads. We do not sell your data. We do not track you across other apps.
You sign in with Apple, Google, or an email magic link. We never collect your password. If your sign-in provider returns an email address, we store it in your authentication record only — we don't display it, market to it, or share it outside the providers listed in our Privacy Policy.
If things go wrong (bugs, stale prices, wrong product), our liability is limited. We're a small team; please be patient with us.

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the moon made me mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By downloading, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

2.1 Minimum age

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account or use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.

If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, you must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country, whichever is higher), or have verifiable parental consent.

2.2 Age verification

The Service is intended for users 13 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. App Store age rating restricts download to age-appropriate users. If we learn that a user is under 13, we will terminate the account and delete associated data.

You create an account by signing in with Apple, Google, or an email magic link.

Apple Sign In and Google Sign In: We use the authentication identifier (Firebase UID and provider) to operate your account. If your provider returns an email address as part of its OAuth flow (such as a real address, or Apple's private-relay address when you choose "Hide My Email"), Firebase Authentication will retain it in your authentication record. We do not display it back to you, do not use it for marketing, and do not share it with anyone outside the providers listed in our Privacy Policy §4. It is deleted when you delete your account. We never request your password — sign-in is performed entirely by your chosen provider.
Email magic link: You provide your email address; we use it to send a single, time-limited sign-in link. Your email is retained in your Firebase Authentication record while your account remains active. See the Privacy Policy for details on storage and deletion. Apple Sign In is available only on iOS; magic-link and Google Sign In are available on both platforms.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Apple ID, Google account, and the email account associated with magic-link sign-in. We are not responsible for unauthorized access to the Service resulting from a compromise of those third-party accounts.

One account per person. You may not share your account with others or create multiple accounts to evade restrictions.

4. The Service

moon made me is a daily-whisper and curated-product-recommendation mobile app for daily reflection. Each day, the Service delivers:

A short whisper aligned with your chosen guide and tone preference (Spark, Calm, or Witty)
Curated products from Amazon that match the day's vibe
Optional daily push notifications from your customizable "guide" avatar
Optional return-reminder ("Reminders") notifications, sent up to three times if you have not opened the App for 3, 7, or 15 days. Reminders are on by default and can be turned off any time in Settings → Reminders.

You select your guide, the guide's name, the tone of voice, and (optionally) a notification time during onboarding. All preferences can be changed later in the Settings screen.

5. For Daily Reflection Only — Important Disclaimer

The whispers, guide messages, and any other content provided by moon made me are intended for daily reflection only - not professional advice. They are not, and must not be interpreted as:

Medical, psychological, psychiatric, or mental-health advice, diagnosis, or treatment
Financial, investment, tax, or accounting advice
Legal advice of any kind
Professional relationship counseling
Predictions of real-world events, outcomes, people's behavior, or timing
A substitute for professional guidance

Do not make important life decisions based solely on the content of this app. Daily whispers are not scientifically validated. If you are experiencing a medical, mental-health, financial, or legal concern, consult an appropriately licensed professional.

6. Amazon Associates Disclosure

moon made me is a participant in the Amazon Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon. When you tap a product card in the Service and subsequently purchase through the affiliate link, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you.

This affiliate relationship does not influence which products we show you. Our selections are curated to align with each day's vibe. Product availability, pricing, reviews, and descriptions are controlled by Amazon and may change at any time without notice. moon made me is not responsible for the accuracy or completeness of Amazon listings, order fulfillment, shipping, returns, or product quality. When you return to the app after visiting Amazon through a product link, we record only the elapsed time (in seconds) to gauge engagement; no Amazon purchase history, browsing history, or account data is shared with us.

7. No Third-Party Advertising

moon made me does not display third-party programmatic advertising, banner ads, interstitial ads, or video ads. We do not use advertising tracking SDKs. We do not participate in advertising identifier tracking (Apple's IDFA or Google's GAID).

If we ever decide to introduce advertising, we will:

Announce the change in the App at least 30 days in advance
Update these Terms and our Privacy Policy accordingly
Provide opt-out mechanisms where required by law

8. User Conduct

You agree not to:

Reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to extract the source code or underlying ideas of the App
Use the App for any unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or harmful purpose
Attempt to overload, disrupt, gain unauthorized access to, or interfere with our servers, networks, or services
Use automated bots, scrapers, crawlers, or similar tools to interact with the Service
Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation
Create multiple accounts to evade restrictions or rate limits
Upload or submit content you do not have the right to submit (e.g., trademarks you don't own as your guide name)

9. Intellectual Property

9.1 Our content

All content in the Service — including whisper texts, guide avatars, illustrations, icons, UI design, animations, app code, and "moon made me" branding — is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, trade-dress, and other laws. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes only.

You may not reproduce, redistribute, modify, create derivative works from, publicly display, or commercially exploit any content from the Service without our prior written permission.

9.2 Your content

Content you provide to personalize the Service (your selected name, guide name, tone preference, etc.) and any free-text feedback you submit via Settings → Feedback remains yours. By providing it, you grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to store, read, reproduce, and internally analyze it for the purpose of operating, supporting, and improving the Service. We will not publish your feedback verbatim with your identity attached without your consent.

9.3 Screenshots and shared images

When you use the in-app "share" feature to generate a shareable card, you are solely responsible for how you share or distribute the resulting image. We grant you a non-exclusive license to use and share the generated image for personal, non-commercial use.

9.4 Submission rules

When you submit feedback or any user-generated content, you agree not to include unlawful, harassing, or third-party personal information you do not have the right to share. We may delete or refuse to act on submissions that violate these rules.

10. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with the following third parties, each governed by its own terms and privacy policy:

Apple Sign In (iOS only) — authentication (Apple Terms)
Google Sign In — authentication (Google Terms)
Firebase Authentication, Firebase Analytics, and Firebase Crashlytics — provided by Google. Authentication handles sign-in, account recovery, and session management; Analytics provides anonymized app usage analytics; Crashlytics provides crash reporting and breadcrumb logs to diagnose stability issues. See Google's privacy policy for details (Firebase Terms).
Resend (operated by Resend, Inc.) — transactional email delivery for magic-link sign-in. When you request a magic link, Firebase Authentication relays the email through Resend's SMTP infrastructure (Resend Privacy).
Supabase (PostgreSQL) — backend database for whisper history, user preferences, and product click data (Supabase Terms)
Loops (operated by Loops Email LLC) — for marketing email collection and delivery to addresses you submit via the website signup form (Loops Privacy)
Amazon Associates — product listings and affiliate tracking (Amazon Conditions of Use)
Expo / Expo Application Services (EAS) — app build infrastructure and over-the-air updates (Expo Terms)
Expo Notifications (wraps Apple Push Notification Service and Google Cloud Messaging) — push notification delivery (Expo Terms)
Cloudflare Pages / Workers — hosting for the public web site (moonmademe.com) and associated /.well-known/ files, plus a server-side affiliate redirect proxy at moonmademe.com/r/{product_id} (Cloudflare Privacy). Note that all in-app product links pass through moonmademe.com/r/{id} so that we can swap in fallback search queries when a listing goes dead and apply our Amazon affiliate tag without an app update.

We are not responsible for the acts, omissions, or content of third-party services. Your interactions with third parties are governed by their own terms.

11. Apple App Store Additional Terms

The following terms apply only when you access or use the Service on an iOS device obtained through the Apple App Store. In the event of any conflict between these Apple-specific terms and the rest of these Terms, the Apple-specific terms control with respect to your use of the iOS app.

11.1 Acknowledgment

You acknowledge that these Terms are between you and moon made me only, and not with Apple Inc. ("Apple"). Apple is not responsible for the iOS app or its content.

11.2 Scope of License

The license granted to you under these Terms is limited to a non-transferable license to use the iOS app on any Apple-branded device that you own or control, as permitted by the Apple Media Services Terms of Use.

11.3 Maintenance and Support

moon made me, not Apple, is solely responsible for providing any maintenance and support services for the iOS app. Apple has no obligation whatsoever to furnish maintenance or support services in connection with the iOS app.

11.4 Warranty

moon made me is solely responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied by law, to the extent not effectively disclaimed. If the iOS app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) for the iOS app to you. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the iOS app.

11.5 Product Claims

moon made me, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the iOS app or your use of the iOS app, including but not limited to: (i) product liability claims; (ii) any claim that the iOS app fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement; and (iii) claims arising under consumer protection, privacy, or similar legislation.

11.6 Intellectual Property

You acknowledge that, in the event of any third-party claim that the iOS app or your possession and use of the iOS app infringes that third party's intellectual property rights, moon made me, not Apple, will be solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of any such claim.

11.7 Legal Compliance

You represent and warrant that (a) you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or that has been designated by the U.S. Government as a "terrorist supporting" country; and (b) you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

11.8 Third-Party Beneficiary

moon made me and you acknowledge and agree that Apple, and Apple's subsidiaries, are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and that, upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary thereof.

12. Termination

12.1 By you

You may stop using the Service at any time by deleting the App from your device and/or requesting account deletion via the Settings screen or by contacting us. Account deletion removes your profile data within 30 days, subject to the retention exceptions described in the Privacy Policy.

12.2 By us

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, with or without notice, if:

You violate these Terms
We are required to do so by law
We reasonably believe your use poses a security or legal risk to us or other users
We discontinue the Service

13. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:

The Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
Whispers, product matches, or linked content will be accurate, available, or fit for any particular purpose
Defects in the Service will be corrected
The Service or its servers are free of viruses or other harmful components

14. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, MOON MADE ME AND ITS OPERATORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.

IN NO EVENT WILL OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE EXCEED ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS (USD $100).

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties or limitation of liability for incidental or consequential damages, so the above may not apply to you in full.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit or exclude any rights you have as a consumer under applicable laws of your country of residence that cannot be limited or excluded by agreement, including (where applicable) the United Kingdom Consumer Rights Act 2015, the EU Consumer Rights Directive (Directive 2011/83/EU), and equivalent consumer-protection laws of EEA member states. In particular, nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for: (a) death or personal injury caused by our negligence; (b) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or (c) any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless moon made me and its operators from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to (a) your violation of these Terms, (b) your violation of any third party's rights, or (c) your misuse of the Service.

16. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco County, California. You consent to personal jurisdiction and venue there and waive any objection to inconvenient forum.

If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will:

Update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document
Post a notice in the App for material changes
For very material changes (e.g., introducing ads, changing data practices), give at least 30 days' advance notice

Continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Service.

18. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and moon made me regarding the Service, superseding any prior agreements.
